This is Dr. MaryAnn Diorio, novelist and life coach, welcoming you to another episode of Winning with the Word. Today is Monday, August 23, 2021, and this is Episode #29 of Series 2021. This episode is titled “Are You Ready for the Return of Jesus Christ?" _______________________________ The next major event scheduled on the Biblical calendar is the Rapture of the Church. This momentous event will mark a critical shift in the direction of the world since, as a result of the Rapture, the world will be thrust into total chaos and will be ripe for the rise of the AntiChrist. So, what exactly is the Rapture, and why is it critically important that you be ready for it? The Rapture of the Church is the instant in time in which Jesus Christ will appear in the sky to remove His true followers from the earth. Only His followers will see Him when He appears; the rest of the world will not.  When Christ's followers are suddenly removed, the world will be thrust into total chaos and confusion. Imagine this: Christian pilots will disappear while they are flying their airplanes. Christians driving cars will suddenly disappear, leaving their cars careening crazily in the midst of traffic. Christian doctors performing surgery will suddenly disappear from their operating rooms. Christian machinery operators will instantly be removed from behind their machinery. Because they have not yet reached the age of reason and accountability, all babies and little children will suddenly go missing. I think you get the picture. After the Rapture, those left behind will find themselves in an unspeakably horrific situation and will cry out for someone to take charge and put things back in order. That someone will be the AntiChrist.  The rise of the AntiChrist will usher in a seven-year period of unimaginable trials, tragedy, and torment known as the Tribulation. The Tribulation will be a period of worldwide dictatorship and loss of freedom under the AntiChrist. At the halfway mark of the Tribulation, the AntiChrist will demand that the entire world give him worship and allegiance by taking his mark, called the Mark of the Beast. According to Revelation 13: 16-17, this mark will be placed on the hand or the forehead.  Just this past week, I read a chilling article about a young man in Italy who tattooed his vaccine pass onto his right arm. I'm not saying that the vaccine passport is the mark of the beast. I am saying, however, that it is heading in that direction. Folks, we are almost there! Wake up! Realize that the Bible's predictions made thousands of years ago are coming to pass before our very eyes. So, what does all of this mean for you? It means that, if you want to escape hell on earth and hell in eternity, you need to accept Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord, and you need to accept Him now. You have no time to lose. It means that if you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord, you are in for the worst suffering of your life--a suffering that you may not survive.
