Listen in as Aidan explores the issues of our current age of self-fulfilment. In lots of ways, some subtle, some not so, we receive the message: life is about me ‘living my best life’. Jesus words in Matthew 16:21-25 absolutely challenge this. “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.” To be true disciples (or apprentices) we must surrender our will and be prepared to suffer for Christ, but we are not alone and we have a perfect example to follow. Looking to Jesus' example we know that death is not the end, it is the doorway to new life.
