b'Text: Micah 7:1-9 (specifically 8-9)Restoration: the state of being restored to it’s original and proper functioning condition.Too many of us just aren’t functioning as well as we could. Too many of us live half-hearted lives that reach for joy, peace, hope and fulfillment in other things. Too many of us have grown bored with faith, bored with life and therefore fallen asleep to the life-giving presence of God in all the beauty He surrounds us with. Too many of us live in yesterday when we failed to be what we now know we should have been. Too many of us live our lives back in the good ole’ days glorying in our past accomplishments, while failing to live in the present and accomplishing new things. Too many of us pay lip service to God in praise songs while we live our lives neck deep in selfish ways and sin throughout the week. What we need is Gospel-driven restoration. We need restored lives, with restored hope and restored faith with a restored passion. So we need a Gospel-practice that relies on God’s grace and moves us to cooperate with what God’s Spirit is doing inside of us. We need something that constantly reminds us of our Gospel Posture, moves us deeper into living life from our Gospel Position, and opens us up to this Gospel Power. We need to learn about a practice I call, “Confessional Living.”As a community, the practice of Confessional Living leads to a Gospel-oriented Mind-set that prepares the way for Gospel-driven Restoration and builds a Gospel-centered Community that offers Gospel-informed Compassion to all.'
