b'Giving is what God does. Should it surprise us that it is what God will always call us to. Giving of our money, our time, and personal wants and desires; our lives. Paul wanted the Corinthian church, and even us, to learn that the Macedonian christians, who were made up of mostly Gentiles, insistent desire to give to the needs of the Jewish Christians became a tangible demonstration of God’s grace. Perhaps a measure of whether or not our hearts are truly overcome by God’s grace is our willingness to give up our will and wants, and freely give to others. We need to be a people who, as demonstration of love, illustrate God’s grace to a watching and hurting world through our generosity.'
