We are part of a chain. A chain of learning and teaching; following and leading. And it’s not just a single chain. It’s a multiplying chain that spans the centuries and grows the kingdom of God. It’s what learnership is all about. It’s what making disciples is all about. Not just the making of them, but the growing of them. And not just for the first disciples, but for all of us who come after. Which means we’re all called to be witnesses, we’re all called to be teachers and we’re all called to be leaders. This is what it means to be a learner. And this is what models to us so clearly (and what the whole New Testament is about) – “Imitate me, as I also imitate Christ.” It could also say: “Come with me as we learn Jesus together.” So, what does it look like for you to say the same?
