b'I wonder if you have ever purchased something that you later regret. A new phone that you drop on day one and crack the screen. Or a brand-new car that you regret when the monthly repayments begin to kick in and bleed your bank balance. Or a new piece of clothing that somehow doesn\\u2019t fit or look quite as nice on you as it seemed to in the shop. There\\u2019s a technical term for this. It\\u2019s called buyer\\u2019s remorse. In our passage this week we continue the same theme from last week, where Peter, in 2 Peter 2, pulls no punches against false teachers in the church. There\\u2019s no getting around it, to Westerners, the language is confronting. Why all this \\u2018ranting and raving\\u2019 from Peter here? Because Peter knew what was at stake, namely the Gospel itself. Buy rebuking these false teachers, he wants to save us from another kind of \\u2018buyer\\u2019s remorse\\u2019 \\u2013 a spiritual one.
