Hope in the Lord

Upon recognising our own insignificance and weakness, it’s easy to despair. We might acknowledge that God is everything and we are nothing, and conclude that he doesn’t care about us. But that’s not how Isaiah 40 ends. It ends with the deep caring and strong carrying of our everlasting Creator. It ends with hope, not despair. After-all, despair is for when there is no other option. But in Christ, we always have the option to hope confidently for renewal and salvation.
