DIVE IN QUESTIONS

1. What is your favourite part of this passage?  Why?  What part are you most curious about?  Why?

2. What wrapped gifts await us from God?  What gifts do we have already, unwrapped?  Are some in between, partially unwrapped?

3. Pastor Anthony says that we sit between two great horizons: the beginning of creation and the end when the world will be made new.  Where does that leave us now, and what’s it like here in the middle?

4. What sort of suffering do you see in the world around you right now and in your own life?  Have you caught yourself or others attempting to ignore it and move to the end where everything is fine?

5. What if Romans 8:28 says, as Pastor Anthony suggests, that “God works together with those who love him to bring about what is good”?  How does that change your understanding of this passage?  How does it change the way that you might engage with God in times of difficulty or sorrow?

6. How is God working with you to bring about what is good right now?
