1. In what sense does our present moment feel apocalyptic to you?
2. What does the word ‘apocalypse’ mean? And what are the things it brings to light?
3. What was the situation faced by the Jews of Daniel’s day and those to whom this book was written? What was the problem faced by King Nebuchadnezzar and the wise men of Babylon at the beginning of the chapter?
4. What does God reveal through Daniel to Nebuchadnezzar? What stands out to you as significant about it?
5. What are some of the temptations we face as we try to respond to our own secular age? Do you resonate with one or the other? Why?
6. How might an apocalyptic imagination fired by our Christian hope of Jesus’ kingdom come and our conviction that God loves the Babylons and Nebuchadnezzars of the world enable you to faithfully witness to and invest in the world around you today?
