DIVE IN QUESTIONS

1. What is our true Christian Hope?

2. What’s the setting and context of Jesus’ teaching on “the end of the age” here in Matthew 24? What things ought we keep in mind as we read this chapter?

3. The disciples ask about when and also ask what will be the signs of Jesus’ coming and the end. Does Jesus answer those questions? How?

4. The only sign Jesus really gives is in verse 30, and it’s his coming again. So, what are we to do with all these other things he mentions of false messiahs and prophets, wars, rumors of wars, famines, earthquakes, persecution, hate, and a shrinking church?

5. Do you see examples of any of these things (false prophets/messiahs, hate, etc.)? What is Jesus’ invitation to us when we see these things?

6. Where might Jesus be inviting you to strengthen your faith, hope, or love in and for him this week? Where might his humble way of love spill over from your life into the lives of others this week?
