DIVE IN QUESTIONS

  1. What has been hard for you in life over these past years? How are you doing now? Take time to take stock.
  2. Paul reviews his 4-chapter essay up to this point: what again was the foolishness (and wisdom) of God that we’re called to emulate? Why aren’t we supposed to boast?
  3. What does it mean to be “of Christ?”
  4. What does it mean to imitate Paul (as he imitates Christ)? Said differently: what does it look like to live out our identity as those who are “of Christ?”
  5. What does seeing our suffering as connected to the suffering of Christ do for us? How does our own dying to ourselves participate in that work of Christ that transforms the world and brings the kingdom?
  6. Does your life look like the cross: like the death and resurrection of Christ? Where might you be called to die to yourself this week?
