Togetherness

The turbulence of our world has taken center stage in recent days. The divisions among us have become stark and sharp. Fear, anger, and uncertainty are sweeping currents of unease throughout our communities, our countries, and our hearts.

When I received news of the events in Paris, I was in the middle of an exquisite cocoon of sisterhood and love. We were half way into a weekend of ceremony exploring the mysteries of the Universe, excavating our own wounded places, and bringing ourselves into harmony - inside and out.

It was a poignant reminder of just how vital our Soul Work is. The urgency for creating Wholeness and Integration in our world presses fervently at our doorstep. Pushing, pulling, beseeching us to Come Together.

In these days, we are not just called to come together to hold a candle and say some prayers. Standing for peace, posting our solidarity, and railing against the perpetrators are not enough.

We are being called into Radical Individual Togetherness.

The way to DO something about the violence and disharmony outside of us is to SEE, KNOW, and HEAL the violence and disharmony inside of us.

And from that place, to practice and refine our ability to be in collaboration and community with others who are doing the same.

It is complex, this dance of unity. A highly intelligent conversation of discernment, experimentation, trial and error.

Those of us on the leading edge are just beginning to explore the nuances of union.

When do we choose community over self?
What do we do when my Truth conflicts with your Truth?
How do we navigate growing at different paces?
Where are we left when you want something that I don’t?

On Wild Soul Medicine Radio this week, we explored the depth and breadth of this conversation. The violence in our world is a portal into the deeper place, where our attention may be more effectively placed.

Some moments to listen for:
(11:30) Violence against the self

(13:50) Will love be able to rule this planet?

(16:00) We can’t keep avoiding that deep part of us. We can’t stop looking at our shadows, can’t run in the opposite direction… we must go inward with a gentle gaze.

(19:00) Togetherness vs. To-Get-Her-ness

(34:03-36:35) Honor the divide

Let us bring our Essence to the Altar of Togetherness, sisters. Through each courageous act of seeing and being with our own darkness, we shall light a candle of Unity that serves as a beacon of hope for our Ultimate Togetherness as a humanity.

I pray for Our Return.
