America is presently engaged in an epic and dismal orgy of self-destruction.  What we're seeing is God "giving us over" to the consequences of our unbelief and foolish premises. And this is the thing to know about God's judgment of people and nations - one of the worst things that can happen to us is for Him to let us go our own way and reap the whirlwind for it.  In our case right now, claiming to be wise and loving, we're setting the stage for national bankruptcy and totalitarianism in the name of fighting a virus.  We're so convinced that we can't be wrong that it doesn't dawn on us that the consequences of our actions could very well be devastating.
