There is a notion within the church that goes along the line that The Lord would not allow Satan to put in a false bishop or local leader to misguide those of the church. Revelation prevents this from happening. However, this concept is not only flawed, but is false doctrine. There are many scriptures which explain quite the opposite. In fact, the only safety net is around the prophet, who cannot lead the church into apostasy. Everyone else is open game, when it comes to the Devil, and they can lead you far astray. Especially in an age where pornography reigns, and the wheat are being choked by the tares. The notion of false local leaders is not only plausible, it is definitely more than likely.
