This week we are continuing in our Christmas series titled \\u201cThe Songs of Christmas\\u201d where we are using some of the songs that have been sung by the church for centuries like the one we used yesterday, \\u201cSilent Night\\u201d, a song written by a young, catholic priest in the early 1800\\u2019s. \\xa0Pastor Brian took the theme of that song and used it to focus on a set of witnesses to the coming of Christ we see in Luke chapter 2. These lowly, unexpected witnesses were the shepherds that were drawn to come see the Christ child and to proclaim the story of redemption that had come that silent and holy night in the humble means of the manger.
