There's been a lot of discussion on the interwebs over the last few weeks about the electoral college, with partisan hacks on both sides attacking and defending the way we elect our President. Today, I'd like to take some time and explain why our government--imperfect as it is--was designed the way it was. There are flaws with the EC system and I'll point those out. But I'll also give you some better options that would actually fix the problem. The changes currently being discussed wouldn't actually improve anything. They would just shift power. And in the end, I think that's what those with the power want. Support the show.
