In particular, he loved learning about the preparations and execution of D-Day, where hundreds of thousands of troops prepared to invaded the beaches of enemy territory. In John's Gospel, he intends to record the details of a similar, yet more dramatic, invasion. John wants us to know that, through Jesus, God invaded enemy territory.
