b'Have you ever watched the news and thought, \\u201cThis world is a really strange place?\\u201d We read about people like Shawnee Chasser, of Miami, who has lived in a tree since 1992. Or we hear of Emma Marsh, who shelled out $500 to have a pebble removed from the throat of her pet goldfish. We live in a strange world. But this world seems to be growing increasingly strange for those who call themselves followers of Jesus. Our culture is changing rapidly, and sometimes Christ-followers feel like strangers in our own land. Peter actually confirms this suspicion in his first epistle. Here, he lovingly instructs us about how we should live as citizens of another world, all the while being transformed for the good of this world. For the next 7 weeks, we are going to dive into the book of 1 Peter and find direction as we live as Strangers In A Strange Land.'
