Put on the New Self

b'I was generally a "good kid." I behaved. I was a rule-follower. I went to church every Wednesday night and Sunday morning. I grew up physically. You might have declared me to be an accomplished adult. If you had asked me if I were a Christian, I would have responded in the affirmative. But I was far from God. I didn\'t know what it meant to have a personal relationship with Christ. Until 1994. At 36 years of age, I finally "got it." I chose to follow Jesus. And my life has never been the same. The beginning of a new year is a natural time to think about changes we can make in our lives. A better way of saying that point theologically is it is a natural time to allow God to transform our lives to a greater extent. Let\'s gather as the body of Christ on Sunday to explore how we can be transformed by God without feeling guilty about our past failures or overwhelmed by a lengthy and arduous to-do list of new "good works" for God. - Bob Stouffer'
