b'In Athens, Paul found himself in a different situation than he had encountered before. Here, he began speaking to people who had little to no knowledge of the Scriptures. His audience embraced all sorts of pagan philosophies, idols, and temples. Some believed God was in everything; some believed that if the gods existed, they were not at all concerned with the world. Paul\'s response to the Athenians has been called a "divine philosophical discourse." He found windows of opportunity to relate to his audience so that he could tell them the good news of Jesus. This week we\'ll see that our culture is not all that different from Athens, and we\'ll explore how we can apply Paul\'s strategy in our lives.'
