Ignorance Isn't Bliss

There is an old idiom that goes something like this: "What you don't know can't hurt you." I understand the sentiment behind the phrase. Ignorance seems like bliss. Whenever I learn something new, I realize how much I don't know. And, that is not fun. Sometimes, it just seems better to stop learning. The writer of Proverbs introduces us to a woman who is SCREAMING her objections to ignorance. The woman is named Wisdom, and she tells us that ignorance isn't bliss. Ignorance leads to our downfall. And who wants a downfall? This Sunday, we are going to keep on in our series, "Avoiding Stupid" by embracing wisdom and ignoring ignorance. I can't wait to see you then! P. Dave
