Fail! (John 21)

b"'ve seen some pretty bad ideas in my time, but the Lap-Top Steering Wheel has to be in the Top 10. (Seriously, check it out at Amazon.com.) Someone failed to think this idea all the way through. Peter understood something about failure. After swearing his unending allegiance to Jesus, Peter turned his back on Him. He denied Jesus three times. And, even after seeing the risen Christ, Peter was still down and defeated. He had failed Jesus. And, after, he returned to his old life. He returned to the fishing boats. I love how Jesus interacted with Peter in John 21. He met Peter's failure head-on. Then, Jesus equipped Peter to radically change the world. In doing so, Jesus also taught us a lesson about Kingdom work that will radically change our understanding of life and ministry. If you have even the smallest sense of inadequacy when it comes to spiritual things, you'll want to make sure that you're with us this Sunday. With only two weeks to go in our Gospel of John series, you won't want to miss it! As always, I can't wait to see you on Sunday! Pastor Dave"
