Published: June 11, 2020, 10 a.m.

In this episode of WashingtonWise Investor, Jeff Kleintop, Schwab’s chief global investment strategist, joins Mike to discuss the heightening tensions between the U.S. and China and what it may all mean for the markets. They discuss long-brewing concerns such as the potential delisting of Chinese companies from the U.S. exchanges and China’s purchase of U.S. debt, as well as more recent issues, including China’s security crackdown on Hong Kong and growing tensions between China and Taiwan.

Mike also provides insight on the approval by Congress of changes to the Paycheck Protection Program for small businesses, offers an update on the prospects for another major coronavirus aid bill, and discusses the ever-evolving implications of the coronavirus pandemic on the 2020 election.
