In Park’s seminal introduction to his revenge trilogy, we get the Park array of master storytelling, editing, cinematography and, ultimately, his foray into the futility and irony of revenge cinema. Another tissue box film for the books, y’all. Get that sh*t ready, because the fellas are about to grind their way into one of Park’s most influential pieces of filmic literature to date. Is it a rewatch movie? Or is it like Kubrick's film adaptation of, A Clockwork Orange, where ya might need about a decade and a half to revisit regardless of how good it is or isn’t?
