Ep. 088 - From Hell (2001)

Published: March 22, 2022, noon

From Hell…a movie adaptation of a 4 inch thick Alan Moore graphic novel that both feels 4 inches thick with Hollywood crumb bum, and (again) only tackles about 4% of the real magic of Alan Moore’s studied and ultimately compelling take on the Jack the Ripper murders. Sorry to be such nerds, but suffice it to say this movie is one Hell that put us through our own Event Horizon. Join our resident film dorks Terry, Paco and Jason as they try to worm their way into a compelling discussion about a movie that hold everything that the Hughes Brothers do well style-wise, while noting how obvious it is that Albert and Allen were not given the material that is worth their salt. Oh! And just to be clear, Heather Graham is absolutely Irish. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. . Thank you all for listening!
