A passionately complex and nuanced film that can only be described as one of the smartest directoral debuts of any filmmaker, make that two filmmakers to date. Even going so far as being inducted into the Criterion Collection. That says enough. Bare with our three resident cis white dudes as they tackle an underrated piece of Black cinema that addresses more than can be put into words in a script alone.
