Spoilers: Silent Movie is an unsung masterpiece...at least to us. Suffice to say, we engulfed and devoured this movie like Dom DeLuise with a series of snacks and a blueberry pie. Except in this case the pie doesn’t fly off and smack a cop in the face, even if we would be happy with that happening. Anyway, join our resident cinephiles Terry, Jason and Paco as they gut-bust their way through one of Mel Brooks’ unsung comedy gems and try their best at picking apart what makes a daring piece of filmmaking, as Silent Movie is, so warm and inviting in an era where the silent picture had been (for the most part) dead for the past 30+ years, as well as the struggles that come with getting a silent movie off the ground in the 1970s. . .
