Ep. 026 - The Replacement Killers (1998)

Welcome to the beginning of our foray into the action/thriller realm of one of the US's most overlooked genre filmmakers, Antoine Fuqua. For his director debut, Fuqua is joined by Chow Yun-Fat (in his American film debut) to bring you the tightest 77 to 84 minutes (depending on which cut you watch) any action film has endeavored, as well as the most plutonic, and possibly problematic relationship between our two leads; for a '90s movie, that is. The fellas are also briefly joined by the legendary Governor from Minnesota, our buddy Jesse Venture as they discuss what it means to be in the 15 percentile to join the debate stage, at the same time that we wish him good luck in his ventures (ha) to come. Congrats for making it this far into the podcast. We're just as baffled as you are...in a good way. We love you. Winky face thumbs up side-eye.
