Published: Nov. 3, 2020, 9:05 p.m.

Abbott and Costello, originally broadcast November 4, 1943, 77 years ago with guest Lana Turner. Abbott and Costello are having trouble getting into the NBC studio before they go on the air. This program is remembered as being broadcast on the day Lou Costello's infant son died by drowning. No mention of this tragedy is made until the very end of the show, when Bud Abbott tells the radio audience what happened. During the program, there was no sign by Costello of anything else on his mind but the next corny joke.
