The Still Report - "Ben Stein On Decision" #1554

Published: March 22, 2017, 4 a.m.

Ben Stein, lawyer, actor and economist, blasted the latest ruling of federal court judge Derrick Watson which blocks President Trumpâ??s second immigration order. He appeared on Judge Jeanineâ??s show, â??Justiceâ?? on Fox News over the weekend. I had to cut out quite a bit of this interview because part of it confused the basic, brilliant theme of his comments. [insert] Stein then goes on to explain the very important but perverse legal concept that is rearing its ugly head here. [insert] Stein went to law school at Yale and so he is expertly qualified to explain this brand new legal theory that wipes out centuries of western civilizationâ??s rule of law concept based on centuries of legal precedence. He calls it â??legal realism.â?? [insert] This new â??legal realismâ?? â?? you know, where absolute truth and justice are no longer absolutes, and are now replaced by a sliding scale determined by the whim of a single federal judge. This concept will probably fit in nicely with an entirely new form of legal system that our children and grandchildren will have to deal with in the future, but, if I dare to say the name of this legal system, this video would probably be demonetized. [insert] This is a scary time we are living in. Will civilization hold fast, or is this humanityâ??s peak â?? followed by rapid disintegration into the law of the jungle? It reminds me of a single line from an obscure 1968 tune called Marie La Peau by a group called Salloom, Sinclair And The Mother Bear. It was an 8-minute-long early version of rap music but just a little less inane. You can still find it on YouTube. Marie La Peau is the only track worth listening to. It had several memorable lines that for some reason have stuck in my head for all these years, like â??the whine of the engine.â?? But the most memorable line that is completely relevant to todayâ??s report is: â??rapid change with an option on violence.â?? This year is a major turning point for what we call civilization. If we submit to the rapid change brought on over the past few years â?? then we will be tossing aside a couple thousand years of western civilization and we will live out our lives as not-so-happy slaves. But if we donâ??t give in â?? itâ??s going to be a rough ride from here on in. The freedom that only a few have fought for in the past, now requires a growing sacrifice from a larger percentage of the population if we are to preserve it. So now, the big treat for those who have stayed to watch this entire report. This is the final powerful minute of Marie Le Peau which I hadnâ??t heard for 50 years until this morning. [insert].
