When He Came

b'READ: GALATIANS 4:4-5; REVELATION 21:1-5\\n\\n\\n\\nWhen He came the first time\\n\\n\\n\\nThe world was in dire need\\n\\n\\n\\nArriving as a newborn baby\\n\\n\\n\\nNot atop a gallant steed\\n\\n\\n\\nThis might come to some\\u2019s surprise\\n\\n\\n\\nThe way He came to us\\n\\n\\n\\nBut, Jesus comes with power and love\\n\\n\\n\\nNot with pompous fuss\\n\\n\\n\\nWhen He came the first time\\n\\n\\n\\nHe changed the world forever\\n\\n\\n\\nNow those who trust in Him are His\\n\\n\\n\\nAnd His love for us He will not sever\\n\\n\\n\\nBut, do you know something?\\n\\n\\n\\nHe\\u2019s coming back again!\\n\\n\\n\\nJust imagine how the world will change\\n\\n\\n\\nThen \\u2022 Molly McTernan\\n\\n\\n\\n\\u2022 The word advent means \\u201cimportant arrival.\\u201d In the weeks leading up to Christmas, many Christians observe the season of Advent as a time to remember how Jesus came to earth the first time as a baby, and how He will come a second time to make all things new and dwell with His people forever. Even if the Christmas story is familiar to you, consider taking some time to think about how Jesus came the first time(Matthew 1:18\\u20132:15; Luke 2:1-7). In what ways was His arrival surprising? Why do you think God the Father decided to send God the Son in such a humble way?\\n\\n\\n\\n\\u2022 What changed after Jesus came and lived among us, ultimately dying on the cross for us and rising from the grave? And how will the world change even more when Jesus returns?
