b'One day, Jesus was walking away from the temple in Jerusalem. The disciples stopped him. They were admiring the magnificent Jewish temple Herod had built. Peter was looking at the huge foundation stones. John was admiring themassive walls. James was looking at the high roof.\\nThe huge white stones were glistening in the noonday sun. One stone alone was the size of a bedroom or a kitchen! The giant walls seemed as if they would stand forever. The temple was overlaid with shining gold.\\nFrom a distance, the temple looked like a mountain covered with snow; any part not covered with gold was dazzling white. It was one of the greatest buildings in the world. So great that it was a common saying among Jews that \\xe2\\u20ac\\u0153He who has not seen Herod\\u2019s building has never seen a building.\\xe2\\u20ac\\x9d\\n\\xe2\\u20ac\\u0153Master, look at these stones!\\xe2\\u20ac\\x9d the disciples exclaimed.\\nJesus replied, \\xe2\\u20ac\\u0153Do you see all these things? Truly I tell you, not one stone will be left here on another that will not be thrown down\\xe2\\u20ac\\x9d (Matthew 24:2).\\nBut it did not appear possible. They thought Jesus was crazy!\\nAbout forty years later, when Jesus had died and risen again, Romans attacked Jerusalem. The leader of the attackers was a man called Titus. Titus told the Roman army not to destroy the beautiful temple. But suddenly, a huge fireball was seen blazing. It was raging quickly and fiercely.\\nBefore long, the temple was burning like a volcano and was completely destroyed. No stone was left on top of another. Jesus\\u2019 words had been and will always be fulfilled because He is the fulfillment of all God\\u2019s promises (2 Corinthians 1:20).
