b'What do you think of when you hear or see the word \\u201chandcrafted?\\u201d Something made by someone\\u2019s hands? The verb \\u201chandcraft\\u201d doesn\\u2019t just mean to make something by hand, but also to make it skillfully.\\nWhat about the word \\u201cwonderfully?\\u201d The biblical Hebrew word translated \\xe2\\u20ac\\u0153wonderfully\\xe2\\u20ac\\x9d is \\u201cpalah,\\u201d and it means \\xe2\\u20ac\\u0153to be distinct\\xe2\\u20ac\\x9d or \\xe2\\u20ac\\u0153to be distinguished\\xe2\\u20ac\\x9d\\u2014set apart for a certain purpose.\\nCan you think of anything that fits both of those definitions? To be made by hand and to be distinct and distinguished?\\nI can. And it\\u2019s what\\u2019s holding this device right now. It\\u2019s what\\u2019s reading these words. It\\u2019s what just exhaled, sending a soft breath of air over the screen. It\\u2019s you.\\nYou are handcrafted. God created you with His hands; He formed you (Psalm 119:73). Think about how God created the first person in Genesis 2:7, \\xe2\\u20ac\\u0153then the Lord God formed a man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.\\xe2\\u20ac\\x9d And then God formed the second person, a woman, from one of the man\\u2019s ribs. After blessing them both, \\xe2\\u20ac\\u0153God saw all that he had made, and it was very good\\xe2\\u20ac\\x9d (Genesis 1:31).\\nGod formed you too. Psalm 139:13-14 says, \\xe2\\u20ac\\u0153For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother\\u2019s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully [palah] made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.\\xe2\\u20ac\\x9d\\nGod handmade you in His good image to be distinct and distinguished! But because our world has been broken by sin, all of us have been marred by sin. That\\u2019s why God sent His Son. Jesus gave Himself up for us so that He could cleanse us from all our sin and present us totally blameless to God (Ephesians 5:25b-27).\\nSo marvel in those facts today!
