Burden or Gift?

b'Have you ever felt like an outsider because of your faith? Maybe people\\njudge you, or even avoid you, because you are a Christian. Sometimes, it\\nfeels like having faith is a burden\\u2014especially when you\\u2019re striving to act\\nthe right way in the midst of temptations and distractions. It\\u2019s hard when\\nothers misunderstand you, and even harder when you lose friendships or feel\\nostracized by people who don\\u2019t share your faith. You might even be\\nridiculed for believing in Jesus. You might wonder if you are battling\\nalone. Be encouraged. You are not on your own. Faith in Jesus is something\\nto be treasured. Think of the last few years: the terrible pandemic,\\nfloods, forest fires, violence, and the constant disharmony in the broken\\nworld we live in. Through all these events, in the destruction and despair,\\nI have been reminded that I am blessed to have faith\\u2014it really is a\\nprecious gift. If a crisis occurs, I know I have a loving Father who sent\\nHis Son, Jesus, to save us. He has walked the steps of suffering before me.\\nPeople opposed Him, misunderstood Him, and ridiculed Him. He endured it all\\nbecause He loves us. And He is with me through everything. He is willing to\\nlisten to me, even when friends cannot listen to me because they have their\\nown tangle of worries knotted up inside them. He provides calm in the chaos\\naround me. Even though I am a natural-born worrier, and sometimes my\\nimagination stirs up troublesome thoughts in my mind, I know I can chat\\nwith Jesus and reveal the problems in my heart to Him. There is so much\\nsadness, hatred, and fear in the world, but through all these terrible\\nsituations, God is there waiting for us, ready to guide us through our\\nlives when we open our hearts to Him. Faith isn\\u2019t a burden, but instead a\\nprecious gift that sets us free. \\u2981 Cindy Lee \\u2981 Do you ever feel frustrated\\nwhen people don\\u2019t understand your faith? Jesus understands what you\\u2019re\\ngoing through. Consider taking a moment to pray for these people and pour\\nout your heart to Jesus. He loves you, and He always listens. \\u2981 Being in\\nrelationship with Jesus means that when you go through hard things, you\\nwill never be alone. It also means that your eternal future is secure\\nbecause Jesus has forgiven you. How might these promises give you hope in\\nthe midst of suffering? \\u2981 Have you put your trust in Jesus?
