Ufologist seeks hillwalkers who photographed \u2018UFO\u2019 above Pitlochry in 1990

A paranormal investigator is asking two hillwalkers who photographed a UFO near Pitlochry in 1990 to come forward after the Ministry of Defence sealed records of the sighting for another 52 years.

Straiph Wilson wants to meet the pair who captured six images of an unidentified flying object over Calvine in Highland Perthshire in August 1990.

Images and files relating to the sighting were supposed to be made public in January after a 30 year wait but the MoD has now said the records won\u2019t be released until 2072.

The Calvine incident happened on August 4 1990 when two men saw a large diamond-shaped object hovering for about 10 minutes before it shot upwards at great speed.

The pair said they saw military aircraft make a number of low-level passes while the UFO sat above the village.

One of the witnesses took six colour photographs of the daytime incident, which have never been made public.

Straiph said: \u201cThat speaks volumes when the government does that. They\u2019re trying to hide something.

\u201cIt\u2019s one of the most important sightings in Britain, if not in the world.

\u201cThe pictures must be quite significant if we could get the two hillwalkers to come forward.

\u201cBack then people might have been scared of the government but I don\u2019t think they\u2019re scared now.\u201d

Because Demi Lovato was out here making contact with aliens. In a plot twist that not even whoever\u2019s in charge of 2020 saw coming, Demi took to Instagram and shared several photos of what appear to be spaceships (???), imploring humanity to make contact in an effort to help change the "destructive habits destroying our planet."

She went on to explain that her photos and videos were "just some of the evidence from under the stars in the desert sky that can no longer be ignored and must be shared immediately" and then encouraged her followers to try to "make contact yourself" using an app. She ended the post with "Happy communicating \U0001f49e\U0001f64f\U0001f3fc"

Quote: "Over the past couple months I have dug deep into the science of consciousness and experienced not only peace and serenity like I\u2019ve never known but I also have witnessed the most incredibly profound sightings both in the sky as well as feet away from me," Demi wrote on Instagram. "This planet is on a very negative path towards destruction but WE can change that together. If we were to get 1% of the population to meditate and make contact, we would force our governments to acknowledge the truth about extraterrestrial life among us and change our destructive habits destroying our planet."

The poor-quality footage seems to show an eye-catching anomaly caught on camera while the identified person is being driven along Mount San Jacinto. A white object, which is rectangular in shape, is seen as it floats serenely past a nearby mountain. Alien hunter Scott Waring says the apparent Unidentified Flying Object (UFO) is in fact alien in origin.

The well-known alien life conspiracy theorist took to his UFO Sightings Daily site to speculate wildly about his bizarre theory.

He said: \u201cThis is an interesting video of a white Tic-Tac-shaped UFO.
\u201cThe UFO was seen as a person was heading to work along Highway 62 near Palm Springs.
\u201cThe wind farm is located in Palm Spring outskirts.

He said: \u201cThe eyewitness at first believes it to be a cloud and then soon realised it was probably a UFO.

\u201cUFOs do have a high interest in human technology and wind farms are the newest in free energy harvesting to make a cleaner planet.

\u201cUFOs have been seen before around wind farms and one even crashed into a windmill many years back.

Mr Waring also provides a statement he claims is from the original eyewitnesses.

They are quoted as saying: \u201cI always wonder how with modern technology we get all these horrible recordings of UFOs until today when I witnessed my own, sorry for the quality \u2013 was driving at high speed.

\u201cSaw this on a route that I take to work very often I\u2019ve seen clouds around the mountains very often but never like this.\u201d

A retired Air Force official in charge of one of its most famous UFO research efforts said before his death last year that the effort may have been scuttled not because it was fruitless, but just the opposite.

In a clip from the new documentary \u201cThe Phenomenon,\u201d Lt. Col. Robert Friend pointed to the sudden closure of Project Blue Book in 1969.

\u201cWhich would suggest what?\u201d he asked before answering his own question: \u201cThat they knew what it was.\u201d

Officially, the project was shuttered despite some 700 open cases because it \u201cno longer can be justified either on the ground of national security or in the interest of science.\u201d

But Friend, who died last year at the age of 99, suggested in his last interview that the shutdown could have been for another reason:

\u201cDo I believe that we have been visited? No, I don\u2019t believe that,\u201d he told HuffPost in 2012. \u201cAnd the reason I don\u2019t believe it is because I can\u2019t conceive of any of the ways in which we could overcome some of these things: How much food would you have to take with you on a trip for 22 years through space? How much fuel would you need? How much oxygen or other things to sustain life do you have to have?\u201d
