TVC 564.1: Part 1 of our final conversation with Ron Bacon, the Emmy Award-winning associate director who was also one of the true pioneers of network television. Ron Bacon passed away Tuesday, Dec. 21 at age ninety-one. Besides wearing many hats throughout his thirty-five years in network TV production, Ron was an accomplished musician and songwriter whose accomplishments after television include The Chicken Man, a full-length musical stage comedy that he wrote and produced for the Sedona Arts Center in Sedona, Arizona in September 2000. The origins for The Chicken Man, however, date back to the early 1960s, when Ron encountered a local character in New Orleans known as “the Chicken Man” while waiting out a hurricane in the French Quarter.  Want to advertise/sponsor our show?
