Eternity is one of those words that leaves you with a sense of awe and wonder. As creatures, who know only beginnings and ends, eternity is a concept which we can try to understand but fail to perceive. Ecclesiastes 3:11 "He has set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end." We can’t fathom what God has done, we can’t fathom an eternal God who always existed and never did not exist. Much of mankind cannot fathom an infinite, eternal, always existing, everywhere present God.We should live as Leonard Ravenhill would cry, "With eternity stamped upon our eyeballs." If we did we would live as very different Christians.
