He\\xa0has publicly debated\\xa0some of America\\u2019s leading atheists.\\xa0He has lectured and debated in defense of the Christian worldview at some of America\\u2019s leading universities: Princeton, University of Washington, Oregon State University, and the University of North Carolina. \\xa0Dr.Fernandes is a member of four professional societies:\\xa0the Evangelical Theological Society, the Evangelical Philosophical Society, the International Society of Christian Apologetics, the International Society of Christian Apologetics, and the Society of Christian Philosophers.\\n\\nDr. \\xa0Fernandes is the author of several books: The God Who Sits Enthroned: Evidence for God\\u2019s Existence; No Other Gods: A Defense of Biblical Christianity; God, Government, and the Road to Tyranny; Contend Earnestly for the Faith; and Theism vs. Atheism: The Internet Debate (co-authored with Dr. Michael Martin) and\\xa0Hijacking the Historical Jesus: Answering Recent Attacks on the Jesus of the Bible.\\n\\nDr. Fernandes also honorably served his country from 1980 to 1983 in the United States Marine Corps.
