He has a Masters Degree in Apologetics from Southern Evangelical Seminary and has graduate level education in Christian Counseling. He has been trained in discipleship counseling through Helps Mission\\xa0and has worked in the human services field (mental health, social services, ministry, etc) for about 15\\xa0years. In March 2012, Mike founded First Cause Discipleship Ministries,\\xa0a\\xa0counseling,\\xa0teaching, and\\xa0training\\xa0ministry focused on making disciples. He provides\\xa0discipleship counseling\\xa0through partnerships with Life Fellowship Church\\xa0in Huntersville, NC and with Cornerstone Fellowship Church\\xa0in Forest City, NC.
