Pro-Life Fridays: The Jahi McMath Case Is About Life

b'The word "pro-life" has come to be synonymous with the issue of abortion. \\xa0While "pro-life" certainly encompasses the issue of abortion, a pro-life issue is any that deals with the the devaluation of life in some way as to deprive someone of life, regardless of age. \\xa0Today, we will deal with a present situation involving the hospitalization and consequent tragedy of 13 year-old Jahi McMath, a young girl who has been declared brain dead by hospital doctors. \\xa0However, she survives on life support, and her family is fighting to keep her on life support and transported to an alternate care facility while the hospital and even a judge has ordered the removal of all life-sustaining medical care.\\n\\n\\n\\tWalter Hoye, from Issues4Life Foundation, will be our guest today to discuss how the Jahi McMath case provides the pro-life community with the opportunity to communicate the overall pro-life viewpoint. \\xa0Rev. Hoye has been in contact with the McMath family and will share with us their struggle against the medical staff trying to put their daughter into the morgue.\\n\\n\\n\\t\\xa0At present, there is great disagreement over her declared "brain dead" state, and out other guest\\xa0today is Dr. Paul Byrne, who will talk to us about the medical determination of Jahi\'s diagnosis and what sound medical ethics ought to propel us to do in her case. \\xa0Dr. Byrne is a columnist for Renew America and has written a response\\xa0to Wesley J.
