Episode 190- Magnus Talks About Smallville- Season 05 Part 02- No Such Thing As Vampires

Published: March 7, 2017, 11:02 a.m.

In this week's ball-biting episode, Magnus continues the Smallville season 05 retrospective. Going under the microscope this week are the episodes Thirst, Exposed, Splinter and Solitude.

This is a pivotal part of the Smallville retrospective as Magnus not only talks about the changes that were happening in the Superman fan community during this time (eg, the fall of 2005) but he also talks about the episode many people consider to be the very worst of Smallville's entire run.

Yes, they consider it to be even worse than the entire dreaded fourth season.

Of perhaps greater importance though is the lesson Clark learns in one of these episodes. Depending on your definition of the word "victory", Clark was defeated in this episode. But he learns that sometimes there are degrees of victory and he has to be ready to accept them. A very important and, ahem, revealing episode of Smallville.

All that, and Clark discovers how Krypton was *REALLY* destroyed.

So what more do you need? Start listening now or Lana Lang will come to your house and suck the life out of you.

Due to the blitzkrieg of badassitude this week, unfortunately there's just no time for listener feedback this week. But don't cry about it, some is coming in the future!

So dry your eyes! Use the time wisely! This would be an opportune time to send in any feedback you may have as the vault could get totally cleared out of feedback in the relatively near future. So get to writing!

In the meantime, though, don't let the lack of feedback this time get you down! You can still offer your feeble effort at tribute! You humble serfs are always welcome to kiss your benevolent leader's ring. Corrupt DiManzocorp interns are ready, willing, able and eager to accept your bribe to present your meager missives to your wise emperor. The email address to use is trentusmagnus@gmail.com as the other seems to be having technical problems.

In an another sublime act of truly unprecedented charity, your emperor permits you lowly rabble to suggest topics for a future episode. Thus, petitions may be sent to trentusmagnus@gmail.com for DiManzocorp interns to review, whereupon your leader might consider thinking about the possibility of potentially discussing whatever you have in mind some day. And that's a promise!
