Hampi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, located in Karnataka, India, was the capital of the Vijayanagara Empire and at one time one of the world's largest and richest cities. With ruins that spread over 4100 hectares, this last great Hindu kingdom in South India includes forts, royal & sacred complexes, temples, shrines and a whole lot more. Surprisingly, not many are aware that this historical city also offers a hippie vibe and a bunch of adventure activities.
