We have had a number of interesting discussions over the past few months about the job market and the difficulty that some individuals are having finding a job. Economist Arnold Kling talked to us about the possibility that many traditional middle class jobs are simply disappearing. Futurist Federico Pistono examined how automation is contributing to the dwindling job market. Recruiting guru Dan Ridge made the case that there are a lot of hidden jobs out there, millions of them in fact, and that they are unfilled and may go on being unfilled for some time.   The corollary to hidden jobs is unseen -- or at least undervalued or underappreciated -- job seekers. We’ve talked about one group of of job-seekers whose value has been severely discounted -- the unemployed. This week we’ll take a look at another group, our veterans.
