007 The Everglades Challenge with "Pelican" aka Nick Hall: Annual high adventure along Florida's coast and Everglades

Published: Jan. 10, 2021, 3:15 p.m.

The Everglades Challenge is one of several events that are annually organized by the “Watertribe” organization.  This challenge is held during the first week of March, each year, and involves a 300-mile (500 km) trip by boat down the coast of Florida, within one week.  This event is a great adventure in it’s own right, but it is also a great way to learn about and prepare for other small-boat voyages.  Watertribe events do have a registration fee, and the registration deadline for the Everglades Challenge is January 31.  This episode’s guest has many extraordinary stories to tell, from sailing in this event to wrestling rattlesnakes and bicycling the length of Baja at the same time as the first Baja 1000, and shares how he has arranged his life to make room for adventure while simultaneously pursuing a career. #trailsaroundtheworld #evergladeschallenge #watertribe #raid #watertrail #sailing #paddling #kayak #adventure
