Directed by Michael Rymer from a screenplay by Scott Abbott and Michael Petroni, based on the 1988 novel of the same name by Anne Rice, it is a loose sequel to Interview with the Vampire and follows the vampire Lestat who becomes a rock star whose music wakes up the equally beautiful and monstrous queen of all vampires.
