This week we actually went to a theater for the first time in over a year to watch the latest main entry in the Conjuring Universe, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It. Directed by Michael Chaves, who takes over directing duties from James Wan, the film tells the tale of Ed and Lorraine Warren as they investigate a murder that may have been committed under the influence of demonic possession. It is based on the trial of Arne Cheyenne Johnson, a murder trial that took place in 1981 Connecticut. Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga reprise their roles as paranormal investigators and authors Ed and Lorraine Warren, with Ruairi O’Connor, Sarah Catherine Hook, and Julian Hilliard also starring.
