This week while practicing social distancing we finally did an internet podcast and we watched the 2018 Irish film Black 47. Directed by Lance Daly. The screenplay is by PJ Dillon, Pierce Ryan, Eugene O’Brien and Daly, based on the short film An Ranger. Starring Hugo Weaving and James Frecheville and set in Ireland during the Great Famine, the film follows an Irish Ranger who has been fighting for the British Army abroad, as he abandons his post to reunite with his family.
