This week we watched the 1950 classic Harvey. Starring Jimmy Stewart, the film follows Elwood P. Dowd and his friend Harvey, a six-foot rabbit known in Celtic folklore as a pooka. These two run into trouble while Dowd’s family tries to separate the pair for good. The film is an adaptation of a play by the same name written by Pulitzer Prize winner Mary Chase.
