Courtney and Pat form an uneasy alliance to find and take down Brainwave before he kills her family. Courtney believes that Starman is her father, despite Pat\'s insistence that he is not. Her first encounter with Brainwave makes her understand the importance of costumes to mask her identity and protect her family. In the end, Pat aka S.T.R.I.P.E. becomes Stargirl\'s sidekick and together they take down Brainwave. Who\'s next?
