b'Shiur from Rabbi Elimelech Kohn Ztl on פרשת שלח.
Discussed:

Why do we refer to the spies as "מרגלים", this week\'s Parsha doesn\'t use that terminology even once!
The Steipler writes that the spies mission was merely to report what they saw, but they became haughty and sinned by inputting their own opinions and agendas.
The Kometz Hamincha writes that the Mitzvah of Tzisis is to teach us to learn from the mistake of the Meraglim, who instead of acting merely as spies, acted like leaders deciding and judging whether they could or could not conquer Eretz Yisrael. He compares this to Man who has an army of senses and emotions that "report" from the world, but ultimately the person must decide his actions based on his intellect and Torah.'
